Well, I just finished my first week in my new part-time gig--teaching Anatomy & Physiology to college students--mostly pre-nursing-at Columbia State CC, hear at it's Franklin campus. Quite a fun week of lectures (2 1/2 hrs), and lab (dry-learning lab) of 2hrs m/t/w/th. What a gas--lots of prep to get power pts/exams, etc ready, but really fun. The students have a sincere interest-for the most part- it seems in learning, which is certainly a strong stimulus to teach! Doesn't bode well for the golf game, but it's just a month. More later.
Elaine's company has recently been purchased by Walgreens, she hasn't seen much change so far, (2 hours a week added to her schedule, but she was working that anyway), hopeful that it will bring some updating of personal and computer support, etc! She still enjoys it.
We are spending a lot of our off time at the cabin, loving it. "Whodathunkit"--a cabin in Alabama!? Love to hear from you.

BLOGGING--NOT JUST YOUR ORDINARY NOTES!

Well,

I decided that Elaine and I should have a blog spot--so here it is! Not sure how much we will use it, not even sure HOW to use it, but it seems neat, so why not!?

Will have to get in the habit of using/updating on a regular basis, I am sure that just takes practice. This way Elaine or I either can use it, and it seems like fun! Our friend Lenda S does a great job with hers, so here we go!
I thought I would attach a Pix of our cabin, complete with it's new addition, also Katie and Eli, our gorgeous grandbabies, as a starting point. If you don't see these pix, that means I could not figure out how to add them!
We are spending a lot of our time at our cabin on Shoal Creek (couple of water miles from TN river in Florence, AL), we just completed an addition and it gives a lot of flexibility for guests!
We spend most of our weekends at the cabin during spring, summer, and fall, when we are not traveling to hang out with other friends from Big Sky to Center Hill to Covington!
Elaine is working away at Infusion Pharmacy X 3 days a week, and enjoying gardens, etc at home and at the cabin other times. She did go see our internist today regarding some problems with arthritis in her hands, we are hopeful these tests/x-rays will turn out to just show osteo- and not rheumatoid- keep your fingers crossed!
I am considering teaching Anatomy & Physiology at a local community college this summer, sounds like fun, i am a bit worried what it might do to my golf handicapp!
Will update soon. Got to get to bed, lots to do tomorrow--this retirement deal is full-time!
